The Quls, including Surahs Al-Falaq and An-Nas, are also highly powerful when recited in the morning and evening, as they serve as a shield against every poisonous pest and negative influences

Dua for a Righteous Child

This beautiful dua from Surah Al-Imran tells the story of Prophet Zakariyya, who longed for a pious and noble child

His dua affirms that only the All-Hearing can bless a person with righteous offspring. When making prayers, one should ask with sincerity, just as Zakariyya did, trusting in divine wisdom.

Du’a for Pious Children

Prophet Zakariya had a deep longing for righteous children, just as his ancestor, Ibrahim AS. Despite reaching old age and his wife being unable to conceive, he remained steadfast in supplication

With utmost conviction, he turned to Allah and made a heartfelt du’a, asking for a good and healthy child who would carry on the legacy of prophethood. His call was answered, and Yahya AS was granted to him.

He recited:

Transliteration: Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan t’ayyibah innaka samee’-ud-du’a’aa

Translation: “My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.” (Qur’an, Surah Al-Imran, 3:38)

Through this du’a, we learn that sincere prayers, even in difficult times, can bring unexpected blessings. His story teaches that with patience and faith, seeking the help of Allah can lead to beautiful outcomes.

Du’a During Childbirth

Childbirth is a time of great challenge, and turning to Allah for mercy and guidance can bring comfort. A powerful du’a that is beneficial to recite during this moment is:

This Hadith from Abu Dawood (4324) reminds us to ask for help, never to be left to ourselves, even for the blinking of an eye.

Seeking His support before and during childbirth ensures that all affairs are in His hands, as there is none truly worthy of worship but Him.

Du’a for the Safeguarding of the Entire Family

A strong du’a for family protection is found in Surah Al-Furqan (25:74), where believers ask Allah to bless them with righteous spouses and healthy children who bring comfort to their eyes. This beautiful prayer,

asks our Lord to grant us a family that follows the path of the muttaqina (God-conscious) and serves as an example for others.

Regularly recited, this du’a is a reminder of the importance of a strong, faithful household in the light of the Qur’an.

The Power of Surah Al-Fatiha

During pregnancy, many seek healing and protection through the Qur’an, and Surah Al-Fatiha is one of the most powerful ways to do so. It is known as a form of ruqyah and a source of aid for those facing hardships.

Beginning with Bismillah, it reminds us that Allah is the Most Gracious and Most Merciful, guiding us through life’s challenges.

The words of this Surah ask for divine guidance on the straight path and protection from going astray. Reciting it with sincerity can bring peace to the heart, as it asks the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds for support.

This translation captures its meaning: We praise Allah, the Rabbil ‘aalameen, the Master of the Day of Judgment, and we worship Him alone.

We ask Him to show us the Mustaqeem way—the path of those He has bestowed His mercy upon, not of those who faced His wrath or went astray (1:1-6). By sincerely reciting this Surah, one can find inner peace, strength, and a deep connection to Allah during pregnancy.

Seeking Allah’s Forgiveness

During pregnancy, turning to Allahumma with sincere dua is a way to find ease in all affairs. One of the most comprehensive prayers for forgiveness is the powerful Istighfar, also called Sayyidul Istighfar

It is a proven supplication that can facilitate relief and blessings. By seeking refuge in Allah, one acknowledges His favor and asks for protection from evil

The Prophet (ﷺ) encouraged believers to recite this frequently, as it is known to bring ease in life’s challenges, including childbirth.

Through this dua, a servant humbly admits their sins, recognizing that none but Allah can forgive. It is a way of reaffirming one’s promise to stay away from shirk and hold firm to Islam

Saying wa ana, a person admits their human weaknesses and calls upon the Lord, the Rabb, to grant them mercy.

The words wa aboo’u express humility, showing that every believer is dependent on the Creator, the One who has created them.

By reciting this, one asks Allah to cleanse them from sin, guiding them towards righteousness with a heart full of faith.

A Powerful Dua for Wellbeing

 Dua for Wellbeing

During pregnancy, every woman seeks protection and well-being for herself and her child. A meaningful dua for this is recorded in Mishkat al-Masabih, asking Allahumma to keep His blessings upon us and grant safety from any punishment or harm.
